Best Trade Association – 2024

Lors de la cérémonie SRP EUROPE 2024 à Londres, l’AFPDB a reçu le prix de la Meilleure Association Professionelle décernée par l’indsutrie européenne des produits structurés.

 

 

L’occasion de revenir sur les actions 2023 et les challenges 2024 menées par l’association française des émetteurs de produits de Bourse et de produits structurés.

En 2023, les activités de l’AFPDB ont inclus :

  • La tenue de plus de 40 sessions de son Comité juridique et réglementaire. Ce comité réunit parmi les membres les experts business et en droit/conformité. Ce forum est régulièrement suivi par des représentants d’associations sœurs (AMAFI, FBF, BSW, EUSIPA…). Il contribue activement aux réflexions du marché sur les axes de travail autour de l’émission et la distribution de produits structurés. Il permet également de définir des positions communes de défense des intérêts sur ces questions ;
  • Les contributions conjointes aux consultations écrites et orales de la Commission européenne, des Autorités européennes de surveillance et des autorités nationales compétentes (AMF, ACPR, Trésor français…) sur des questions telles que la réglementation ESG (SFDR), la Retail Investment Strategy (RIS)l, l’interdiction de paiement des flux d’ordres (PFOF) et l’exemption des opérations promotionnelles sur les frais de courtage de celles-ci ;
  • La promotion de lignes directrices de marché régissant l’émission et la distribution de produits structurés ESG (Charte), et l’élaboration d’un recueil réglementaire compilant les règles européennes et nationales applicables à ces produits (Vademecum) ;
  • L‘organisation ou la participation à des ateliers techniques sur divers sujets tels que le Value For Money (VFM), le traitement des produits dérivés ESG et structurés, et l’impact de MifIR sur la distribution des produits de Bourse ;
  • L‘organisation d’événements trimestriels (afterworks AFPDB) auxquels participent tous les représentants de de l’écosystème des produits structurés (émetteurs, courtiers, distributeurs, plateformes de négociation, vendeurs de données…).

En 2024, l’AFPDB entend confirmer son rôle de pionnier et de leader dans la promotion des produits structurés. Une attention particulière sera portée à la performance et aux coûts des produits structurés (lignes directrices VFM), ainsi qu’au développement de l’offre ESG. Ces travaux et ces priorités seront abordés dans un esprit de coopération européenne, en s’appuyant également sur l’excellente synergie franco-allemande qui est au cœur de l’action de l’AFPDB.

At the SRP EUROPE 2024 conference in London, the AFPDB was distinguished as Best Trade Association by the European structured products industry.

 

The opportunity to look back on the 2023 actions and the 2024 challenges carried out by the French association of issuers of exchange-traded products (warrants, turbos, certificates) and structured products.

In 2023 he AFPDB activities comprised:

  • The holding of over 40 sessions of its Legal and Regulatory Committee. This committee regroups members’ business and legal/compliance experts. This forum is regularly attended by representatives of sister associations (AMAFI, FBF, BSW, EUSIPA…). It actively contributes to the marketplace reflections on work-streams concerning the issuing and distribution of structured products. It also permits the definition of common advocacy positions on those matters;
  • The joint contributions to written and oral consultations of the European Commission, the European Supervisory Authorities, and the National Competent Authorities (AMF, ACPR, French Treasury…) on issues such as ESG regulations (SFDR), the Retail Investment Strategy, the prohibition of payment for order flows (PFOF) and the exemption of trade sponsoring schemes thereof;
  • The promotion of marketplace guidelines governing the manufacturing and distribution of ESG structured products (Charte), and the drafting of a regulatory compendium compiling EU and national rules applying to those products (Vademecum);
  • The organisation of or the participation in technical workshops on various subjects such as the Value For Money (VFM), the treatment of ESG derivatives and structutred products, and the impact of MifIR on the distribution of exchange-traded products;
  • The organization of quarterly market place events (AFPDB afterworks) largely attended by representatives of the entire structured product ecosystem (issuers, brokers, distributors, trading venues, data vendors…).

 

In 2024, the AFPDB intends to confirm its pioneering and leadership roles in the promotion of structured products. A specific attention will be devoted to the performance and costs of structured products (VFM guidelines), and the development of ESG offering. This work and priorities will be addressed in a spirit of European cooperation, leveraging also on the excellent French German synergy that is the core of the AFPDB action
